FLEX TRIM A/S WON OVER SLIPCON IN COURT
After several years of violation Flex Trim A/S and SlipCon, in 2003 made a court settlement. The result of this court settlement a.o. was that they were no longer allowed to produce, sell and market sanding strips which could fit into Flex Trim’s sandingheads
SlipCon however, continued its production and sales of strips that could fit Flex Trim’s sandingheads.
The Maritime and Commercial Court has recently reviewed SlipCons latest generation of strips, and the court has decided that the new generation also violates Flex Trim’s rights, and has therefore decided that SlipCon are to cease production, marketing, sale and export of these products.
It is expected that the Maritime and Commercial Court in 2010 will determine a significant compensation in favour of Flex Trim A/S.
Poul Erik Jespersen, Managing director of Flex Trim A/S, says in connection with the verdict.
“For me, it is a big pleasure to see that you can not copy ideas and inventions, that other has used a lot of time and spend much money to develop”.
Furthermore he express that he is very satisfied with the decision from the court.
